Odour Control & Air Quality
Air scrubbing, filtration and odour treatment after water, fire or mould events, once the sources have actually been removed.
Treatment after removal, never instead of it
Odour treatment applied over wet material, soot or mould is a perfume. It fades, and the smell comes back, usually about the time everyone has stopped watching for it.
We remove the sources first, then run filtration and scrubbing on the space, treat surfaces where it is warranted, and keep going until the building smells like a building rather than like an event that happened in it.
What the work includes- HEPA air scrubbing and negative air where containment is needed
- Removal of the materials actually holding the odour
- Surface treatment of structure that is staying
- Duct and mechanical system assessment where odour is circulating
- Thermal and vapour treatments where they are appropriate
- Verification before the space is handed back
- Rebuild and finishes by the same contractor
Typical situations
- A musty smell that persists after a leak has been dried
- Smoke odour weeks after a fire
- Odour circulating through a building via the ductwork
- A unit or suite that cannot be re-let because of smell
- Occupant complaints about air quality after building work
Odour Control & Air Quality, answered
Because the source is still there. Treating air without removing the material holding the odour buys a few weeks at most.
Often yes, zone by zone, with containment and filtration so the rest of the building keeps operating.
We verify the space before handing it back, and where it matters we will arrange clearance testing.
