Temporary Power & Heat
Keeping a building operating and protected while the permanent systems are down, with temporary heat, power and drying support.
A cold building in January is a second claim waiting to happen
When heat or power goes down in an Ontario winter, the building starts working against itself. Pipes freeze, sprinkler lines are at risk, and drying equipment cannot do its job without power to run it.
We supply and set up temporary heat and power so the building stays above freezing, the restoration work can continue, and the property does not generate a second, larger loss while the first one is being repaired.
What the work includes- Temporary heat sized to the space and the outside temperature
- Temporary power for the building and for drying equipment
- Protection of pipework and sprinkler lines against freezing
- Monitoring through the cold period
- Coordination with mechanical and electrical trades
- Safe placement and ventilation of all equipment
- Removal once permanent services are restored
When this matters
- Heating plant down in freezing weather
- Power lost to a building undergoing restoration
- A mechanical room out of service after a flood
- Sprinkler lines at risk of freezing
- Vacant property that still has to be kept above freezing
Temporary Power & Heat, answered
Same day in most cases. It is one of the first things we look at on a winter loss, because the cost of not doing it is usually larger than the loss itself.
When it is sized, placed and ventilated correctly, yes, and we monitor it through the cold period rather than dropping it off and leaving.
Yes. Temporary services are there to bridge the gap until the permanent plant is back, and we work to that schedule.
